Who ever said contemporary abstract art should be still? Not innovative abstract artist Peter Hamlett. Peter spent much of 2007 conceiving, filming, editing and producing “The Bigger Picture” art film DVD and the artistic installation Purple Dream.
Peter creates contemporary art on the mico-cosmic scale, often on a small sheet of glass. He uses combinations of light, inks, paints and many other coloured liquids to create his moving abstract art works. Initially Peter photographed these works, often with a macro lens to produce the stunning abstract works of intricate delicacy and beauty displayed in the abstract, liquid, and other world contemporary art galleries.

Using the same camera that the BBC used to capture their famous clip of the whale catching the seal innovative artist Peter Hamlett filmed coloured drops. The high speed camera took detailed pictures, essential to create the high quality of work art critics, editors and the public have come to expect from artist Peter Hamlett. The resulting speed and detail of motion proved breathtaking, even to Peter. Currently, one art installation, which resulted from these series of filming sessions is available to purchase.
