Peter Hamlett’s contemporary art covers a wide range from the highly abstract through modern art to digital art. His techniques encompass painting, photography, sculpture, modern art prints and art film making. His aim is to inspire and uplift through abstract art. Modern abstract art can be quite stayed in colour palate. Peter loves to create bright, vibrant abstract art as well as colourful pastel paintings and prints.
Pictures and art prints are divided into galleries by the look and feel of the finished piece, not by their method of creation. We are in the process of updating the web site so you will also be able to access the abstract art works by the type of product; prints, limited edition prints, original prints, prints mounted onto aluminium, metallic prints, prints on canvas, prints on acrylic and prints on transparencies for light pictures. We also are working on our quick find project where you will be able to view Peter Hamlett’s abstract art by price and colour so you can find just the right art, original art or art print for your wall and pocket.

Art Gallery Introduction:

Liquid Art Gallery
The Liquid Art gallery moves from the beauty and tranquillity of water shown in Energy de l’eau and Le Bleu light pictures, through dynamic movement in Whirlpool gloss art print and the dramatic Cascade light picture to the stillness of Matchstick man and Fissure abstract art prints. The delicate nature of water life is recreated beautifully in the abstract art works Shoal and Come Together.

Other Worlds Art Gallery
Abstract art landscapes and seascapes such as Aurora giclee art print and Tequila Sunrise abstract art print bring the striking beauty of abstract art pictures into the Other Worlds Art Gallery. Abstract Artist Peter Hamlett gets even more abstract with the striking original framed giclee art print of Distant Land, the original giclee art print Into the Valley and the original art transparency Our Red Sea. The giclee print Invasion and light picture Flow are even more surreal. Art images conjuring an aerial view give a wonderful artistic perspective of looking down on our planet. The artist challenges the viewer to reassess his impact on our world with his abstract pictures such as the original giclee print The Source, and the art prints Galapagos and Ice Melt.

The Other Worlds Art Gallery also explores the realms of the unknown with recognizable yet out of this world artistic images. This also gives the perspective of our planet as a small part of the multiverse. Pictures like Galaxy and The Portal give a feeling of space and creation; where as the beautiful detail of the Evolution art work engenders the feeling of motion and dynamism.

Abstract Art gallery
The abstract art gallery explores texture, shape, form and relationship. Striking shapes sit beside flowing images and rippling patterns. Abstracted form may be bold, as in Peter Hamlett’s stunning work, Dragon Eyes. This limited edition fine art mounted onto aluminium penetrates and questions the viewer. Texture, continued from Cracked Ice and the stunning Division light picture is used to great effect underneath the bold circular effect used to draw the viewer in so effectively in the prints Gravity and Yellow Pupil (both mounted abstract art prints). The mounted art print Emotion, light picture Ripple and mounted abstract art print Dolphins add a great sense of flow and motion. Other works like Evolution are so detailed and enthralling they defy description.

Art In Nature
The Art in Nature Gallery was introduced in summer 2008, has proved very popular and also won third place in the prestigious Fine Art Trade Guild and Cannon UK Art competition. The winning piece, Under The Sea has recently been released as a limited edition of 100 so hurry to buy this abstract art photographic work before it is sold out. Unfurled and Innocence Unfurled fine art photography capture the sexual nature of plants, while Sea Lights and Lap of Luxury photographic art prints again capture the harmony, vibrancy and tranquillity of the sea.

Art of Photography
The success of the Art in Nature Gallery drove artist Peter Hamlett to create his Art of Photography gallery. All Photographs are taken from October 2008 onwards and show the fun and beauty of our world. Feather and Flower, sold as an open edition gloss print to allow everyone to enjoy its form and beauty at under £20 is the most popular work, bright, bold, fun and yet poignant. Stately snow is another fun photo where the October snow gave the statue its collar ruffle, set in front of wonderful green. Chicken ‘n’ Chips shows the artists own free range chickens helping themselves from the dinner table.

Sculpture Art Gallery
Peter Hamlett continues on the fun theme with his Minced Milk Art Sculpture. Defying gravity the artist incorporates the new (working with resin) into the traditional of the old delivered pint and a traditional mincer. This fun piece suits traditional homes and offices as well as the modern.

Motion Art Gallery
The artist has ensured all can see his pictures move in front of their own eyes by adding The Bigger Picture DVD to his original motion art installations.

Many of Peter Hamlett’s Art works are created with coloured inks and other liquids in motion. These he photographs for his original art prints and limited and open edition art prints as seen in many works in the Liquid art gallery, Abstract Art Gallery and Other Worlds Art gallery. The artist also films this motion in real time and high speed to produce his motion art installations and DVDs. The DVD, The Bigger Picture, launched in October 2008 has already been the subject of four national press editorials and is sold in the UK and mainland Europe. We eagerly wait to see if we have won The Innovation of the year Business Award. Visit the motion art gallery to find out how TVs are the new picture frames for cutting edge Motion Art.

Summary of Peter’s Hamlett’s Artistic Techniques
The artist’s main focus has been on photographing and filming of the mixing of coloured liquids. This is at a very small scale using macro lenses for still photography and the 4K REDone camera for filming the DVD. For the nature and photography galleries the artist has photographed subjects that he have found interesting, transient or he saw from a different or unexpected perspective.
