Hello Peter,
I'm just back from a round of international travels talking about RED, and
got your DVD in my incoming mail from last month.
Thank you for sending over the DVD. The work is stunning and certainly one
of the most unusual ways of working with the RED that I've seen (and I've
seen a lot of RED footage) I have a friend that is shooting the RED for
microscopy and getting incredible results as well, showing a world that
can't be seen with the naked eye - that's the closest visual connection I've
seen that I could make reference to.
It is amazing to see all the creative things people have done with the
camera, it's what makes it all worthwhile.
I'm pleased to hear you had a good overall experience, and the images you
have created on the RED were able to show the quality of the work. I
imagine seeing it in HD during the post production would be an even more
immersive and powerful experience, I hope you had the chance to see it on a
big screen that way. Also great to hear that James at Post Factory was able
to move you through the processing and color grading steps in RedCine and
the editing and finishing.
Looking forward to hearing how things progress with your imaging of your Art
in this fashion.
